Drawing contest “My Friend the Shark”
The citizens’ initiative #StopFinningEU, without a permanent registered office, organizes a drawing contest and awards prizes, depending on the placement, which are financed by Sharproject.org.
By participating in the drawing contest, the user agrees to the following conditions of acceptance and the responsibility for content.
Participation Conditions
1. What can be won?
The winners will be notified via the e-mail address they used for participating in the competition. The winners are divided into two groups and receive either their desired main prize or a consolation prize. The desired main prize can be chosen from a selection. #StopFinningEU reserves the right to ask the winner to choose a prize in case of delivery bottlenecks.
Main prizes (1-10th place):
Either an underwater camera, a plush shark from Wild Republic or a full-face mask in shark optics for diving.
Consolation prizes (11-20th place):

2. How can you win?
The pictures are published on #StopFinningEU’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
To participate, the image must be sent as a photo by email, including first name, age and hometown of the child, under the subject “My friend the shark” to the following address: l.merx@stop-finning.eu.
The legal guardians may object to the publication of the name and/or age on Facebook, Instagram and the Website of #StopFinningEU without any reason in the participation e-mail.
One image can be submitted per child.
3. How long will the action take place?
The promotion starts on June 6th, 2020 at 6 pm. The submissions closing is June 30th, 2020.
4. Who can participate?
Participation is free of charge and is allowed to any natural person. The authors’ guardians are to be understood as participants here. The children (authors) who create the image to be evaluated should be of primary school age (1st – 4th grade). All persons residing in the EU, who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation, are entitled to participate in the competition. Participation requires the truthful disclosure of the relevant data. Competition clubs and automated sweepstakes services are not eligible.
5. Who will be excluded from participation?
#StopFinningEU is entitled to exclude individuals from participation if there are legitimate reasons, such as a violation of these Terms and Conditions, double or multiple participation, manipulation, etc., and reserves the right to take legal action. #StopFinningEU employees and their relatives are not allowed to enter this competition.
6. How are the winners determined?
The #StopFinningEU jury decides which submitted images will be awarded. All submitted images will be posted on Instagram and the website stop-finning.eu with the permission of the participants. It is possible to publish the image without specifying the name and/or age, if desired by the participant.
7. How do I know if I won?
The winning notification is made by #StopFinningEU by email to the contact address provided by the participant.
8. How do I get the winnings?
With the winning notification, the winners are asked to provide #StopFinningEU with the contact details specified for sending or handing over the prize. The participants are responsible for the correctness of the contact details provided.
9. What happens if I don’t sign up after the win notification?
If a winner does not register one week after the winner notification, the winning claim will be forfeited. The same applies in the event that a winner #StopFinningEU communicates incorrect contact details and it is therefore not possible to send or hand over the prize.
10. Reservation clause
#StopFinningEU reserves the right to modify, interrupt or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons. However, #StopFinningEU only makes a case for this possibility if, for reasons of force majeure, technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons, a proper execution of the game is not guaranteed. #StopFinningEU shall not be liable for losses, failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond #StopFinningEU’s control. In justified cases, the profit may be replaced by equivalent prizes.
11. Privacy policy
Security and satisfaction are the focus of #StopFinningEU. #StopFinningEU stores and uses the collected data exclusively for the execution of the competition. After the end of the competition, all details will be deleted, unless they need to be kept for legal reasons. The transfer of data and the use of the advertised data is excluded.
12. Rights
The winners shall grant #StopFinningEU an exclusive, transferable, temporal and spatially unlimited right of use of the submitted content. The rights granted also apply to use in any form of advertising and/or public relations (including using the content as an integral part of online advertising, such as banners, videos, screen shots, audio samples, teasers, newsletters, titles and names) for the business, service or products of #StopFinningEU. The participant shall ensure that #StopFinningEU is not obliged to name the creator of the content in the exercise of the rights of use. The participant (guardian) informs that the child is the author of the submitted image and that he has the unrestricted rights of exploitation thereof. Cash payment of winnings is not possible. Profit claims cannot be transferred or assigned to other persons. Legal redress is excluded. Should individual provisions of the participation conditions be invalid or become invalid, the validity of the remaining conditions remains unaffected. It is replaced by an appropriate provision which most closely corresponds to the purpose of the invalid provision. #StopFinningEU reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time.

This sweepstakes is held by #StopFinningEU. It has no connection to Facebook and is not sponsored, supported or organized by Facebook in anyway. Information is transmitted to #StopFinningEU, not Facebook.
